Choice Business Club
Once a month, for a period of 6 months, the CBC will meet at Federation CJA to address pertinent business themes through group discussions and guest speakers. Members will have the chance to broaden their circle of influence by creating synergies with similar-minded people.
Each member will be the exclusive representative of his/her industry. Participants will be selected by what they can contribute to the team. The Club will encourage the development of personal relationships with qualified business professionals and will be a medium to share your individual expertise and gain insight into various business issues. Please be advised that each member will be expected to actively participate in the discussions and will be asked to present a specific topic to the group.
As a member of CBC you will benefit through the CHOICE BUSINESS CLUB referral system. Active involvement with this core group will strengthen and extend your network today and into the future.

Promontreal Entrepreneur Award (Promies)
The goals of this program are to recognize business acumen, talent, creativity and the community spirit of young Jewish entrepreneurs in the Montreal business community.
As in our first 5 years, this program reaches out into the business community to solicit nominations for different awards. A panel of judges sets criteria for each award and selects the winners. Last year, we had more than 120 nominees. Winners will receive their awards at a cocktail reception.

Revolving Tables
One of the JCC most successful events, the Revolving Tables Dinner offers the ultimate networking opportunity in a relaxed, elegant dinner setting. Last year’s Revolving Tables event was held at the Inter-continental Hotel and attracted an astonishing 180 attendees. Participants were assigned initial seating in tables of ten and were asked to switch tables for each of the 3 gourmet dinner courses. This allowed for maximum networking and exposure to business people in various professions and industries. The Revolving Tables event proved an excellent means for participants to expand their realm of contacts.

Speed Networking
Speed Networking, offers a great opportunity to introduce yourself and your business on a one on one basis. Not unlike Speed Dating you are matched up with 10 different participants with whom you will each have 5 minutes to talk. Last year’s Speed Networking event was held at the Gelber Conference Center and attracted 70 attendees. The Speed Networking event proved an excellent means for participants to expand their realm of contacts.

Interchamber Networking Cocktail
This year the JCC was proud to host an Inter-Chamber Cocktail at the Gelber Conference Centre. Participants from the young business community enjoyed the opportunity to mingle and network with young business people and entrepreneurs from the larger Montreal business community. Participants hailed from the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montreal, the Federation of Chinese Canadian Professionals, and l’Association Des Jeunes Professionnels Marocains, La Jeune Chambre of Commerce Haitienne and the Gay Chamber of Commerce. The event was a resounding success with over 160 people in attendance.

Breakfast and Lunch series
The JCC holds several networking breakfasts and lunches that address success stories and current business topics by featuring prominent speakers from the Montreal business community. Attendees have benefited from the industry insights of such successful business people as Mark Goodman, President of FCB Direct and David Cape, President of Professional Pharmaceutical.

Cocktails series
The JCC holds several networking cocktails each year featuring prominent speakers from the Montreal business community. Attendees benefit from the industry insights of successful business people like Vincenzo Guzzo, president of Cinema Guzzo, and Laurence Lewin, founder and president of La Senza inc. Last year’s La Senza networking cocktail drew over 80 JCC attendees for Mr. Lewin’s address of the Sexy Success Story of La Senza Lingerie.

Business and Professional Cocktail
This annual fundraising event brings together approximately 150 young adults from various fields of business and professional practices that look forward to an evening of networking with peers and business/community leaders. After cocktails our guests are seated at predetermined tables for the first of 3-20 minute presentations by our speakers. Presentations tend to be informal, addressing business and community success stories, allowing time for a question/answer period. This event is the only JCC event to occur during the Combined Jewish Appeal Campaign.
Price: Cocktails are served $100 minimum gift and a $36 increase to the 2004 Young Leadership Campaign YLC of Combined Jewish Appeal |
